President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil openly criticized Britain and other developed nations for using developing nations as garbage dumps after 1,600 tons of garbage, falsely declared as plastic recycling, was shipped to Brazil from Britain. The eighty-nine containers of trash which included dirty diapers, used syringes, food waste and computer parts were shipped back to Britain from Santos, Brazil on Wednesday.  A criminal investigation is underway to determine who was responsible for the shipment.
