Florida's Python Round-Up

Florida is about to issue trapping licenses for pythons, according to Backpacker. As many as 100,000 Burmese pythons currently live in the Everglades, but they're not supposed to be there. The population spawned from imported pets that managed to escape after hurricanes leveled certain parts of Florida. Now, the sometimes 20-foot-long snakes are breeding like bunnies, eating local fauna (even alligators), and apparently, Floridians have had enough.
