The Best Most Awful Travel Writing

So you want to be a writer? Sure, anybody can be Outside's Jon Krakauer, but it takes real talent to be the best bad writer of them all. Which is why it's time again for the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest, hosted by the English department at San Jose University. Read some of the very, very terrible entries here. World Hum has compiled a handy list of the some of the very worst travel writing from the contest here.
