Jason Winn, a triathlete, former football player, and member of Team Surfing USA, was hit by another team's support vehicle while biking on Wednesday in The Race Across America. Team Surfing USA's other members--Big Wave King, Laird Hamilton, Rage Against The Machine bassist, Tim Commerford, and 76-year-old founder of Bally Total Fitness, Don Wildman, will continue the race, and still plan to conclude their more than 3,000 mile-long journey by paddle surfing around the Statue of Liberty this evening--Friday, June 26th.
