Alpinist Sold

The climbing magazine Alpinist was sold via a live phone auction for $71,000, according to a report on Foliomag.com.

The magazine, alpinist.com, and the Alpinist Film Festival were bought by the owners of Backcountry magazine. The seller, Marc Ewing, invested $2 million into the magazine.
