Team in Training Celebrates 20 years
Need to get in shape. Always wanted to run a marathon. Team in Training might offer the incentive, and coaching, you need to finally do it.
For the last 20 years, Team in Training has been providing professional advice to everyday athletes on how to run a marathon, complete a century ride, or compete in a triathlon, all while raising money for cancer research.
The program, run in conjunction with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, is the largest endurance-sports training program in the world. More than 340,000 people have participated since 1988, raising some $800 million for cancer research.
Participants simply help raise funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and, in return, receive professional coaching advice, free lodging and airfare at events around the country, and a team of fellow athletes pushing them towards success.
The program may be just the extra impetus you need to get yourself committed to a triathlon—and saving some lives in the process. Now is your chance. Check out teamintraining.org.
